Our Staff

MISS KAY - Principal & Teacher

Miss Kay has been dancing since the age of 3 and she has always had the natural passion to dance. At the age of 16 Miss Kay went to The BRIT School of Performing Arts (Croydon) where she was trained in all dance styles. After gaining a Triple Distinction in her BTEC National Diploma in Dance Theatre, she went on to Performers College in Essex (one of the top performing arts colleges in the Country!) on a Full Scholarship.

Over the years Miss Kay has danced in many shows accross England. These include pantomimes with Anita Dobson, Denise Nolan, Mark Wingett and many more. She has also performed in shows such at Night at the Musical (tour), Woman of the Future Awards, Caberet, a Sir Alan Sugar Charity Event. Miss Kay has danced in international TV commericals and travelled to Disneyland Paris to be 'best friends' with Princess Tiana and dance in the Parades and Shows in the Disney Park.

Miss Kay started by teaching  dance at her previous dance school as an assistant and tap teacher. She has also taught classes at St Giles and Priory, schools for children with disabilities. 

Miss Kay is ISTD trained in Tap & Modern and is also a fully qualified personal trainer and Acrobatics Arts qualified teacher.
Miss Kay is DBS checked, First Aid trained and has a Chaperone Licence.

MISS ALENA  - Teacher

Singing teacher Miss Alena has been singing and dancing since the age of 7. After several years training at a Local musical theatre school, Alena landed her first roll in London's West End at the age of 10 As original cast in the award winning musical Billy Elliot. She went onto perform in the musical for 3 years, with performances on TV show Strictly Come Dancing and GMTV, along with performing for the likes of Michael Jackson, Elton John and Busted.

Shortly after, Miss Alena landed a place at Trinity Laban conservatoire of music and dance in their Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) scheme. She went onto to perform in various location around london including The SouthBank Centre and The Royal Ballet School. 

At the age of 16 Miss Alena landed a place at The Brit School of Performing Arts where she studied Music and Music technology alongside extra curricular dance gaining a Triple Distinction. She then went onto Backing sing write songs for various projects within the music industry.

Her skills have led to become extremely passionate about singing and is excited to teach the students of ZDA and pass on her knowledge to the next generation of singers.
Miss Alena is a registered teacher with ABRSM.

Miss Alena is DBS checked and has a Chaperones Licence.

MISS NATALIA - Teacher

Gymnastic's Teacher Miss Natalia began gymnastics at the age of 8, competing at both national and international levels for 8 years, earning numerous titles along the way. While in secondary school, she was an active member of the school’s dance team, representing them in various competitions and showcases. At university, Miss Natalia joined the cheerleading team, where she spent three years as a member and took on the role of Vice Club Captain in her final year, choreographing routines and tumble passes.

Miss Natalia holds a Level 1 Artistic Gymnastics qualification and a Level 2 General Gymnastics qualification. She began coaching at the young age of 12 as an assistant, gradually gaining more experience and qualifications. Over the years, she has worked at a variety of gymnastics clubs both in and outside of London, specialising in acrobatics, tumbling, dance, general, and artistic gymnastics. With 12 years of coaching experience, Miss Natalia has also managed competitive teams and served as a head coach and supervisor at one of her previous roles.

In addition to her coaching background, Miss Natalia holds a degree in Education, Inclusion, and Special Educational Needs and is currently studying Paramedic Science at university.

MISS SHANNICE - Teacher

Street Dance Teacher Miss Shannice began dancing at the age of 6, starting with Ballet and Tap. By the age of 12, her passion for dance grew, and she expanded her repertoire to include Jazz, Modern, and Commercial styles. She furthered her training at The BRIT School, where she graduated with a Distinction in the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts.

Currently, Miss Shannice is studying full-time at the London Studio Centre on a full scholarship, continuing to refine her skills and prepare for a professional dance career.

In addition to her training, Miss Shannice has developed a strong passion for teaching. She is dedicated to passing on the wisdom and expertise she has gained from her mentors, ensuring her students receive the highest quality of training throughout their dance journey.

Miss Shannice’s impressive performance experience already includes dancing at The Brit Awards with 'Little Simz', Performing in the Croydon Pantomime 'Jack & The Beanstalk', Showcasing her talents at Fairfield Halls with The BRIT School and external companies, Performing at the South Wimbledon Theatre as part of her university training and her most resent performance was at the incredible Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms x Doctor Who.
Miss Shannice is DBS checked.

MISS SOPHIA – Assistant / Cover Teacher

Miss Sophia has been dancing since the age of 2 and has always displayed a natural leadership presence in the studio, often seen as a second teacher even from a young age. She is trained in a wide range of styles, including ballet, contemporary, modern, street, Latin, tap, and jazz.

With a deep passion for teaching and choreographing, Miss Sophia plans to transition from The BRIT School to the University of LMA, where she will study dance performance, choreography development, and foundational teaching methods.

Miss Sophia’s extensive training includes time with prestigious institutions such as the English Youth Ballet and the School of Russian Ballet. She has also performed in renowned productions, including Swan Lake and Coppélia with the English Youth Ballet.

Looking ahead, Miss Sophia envisions herself choreographing and directing modern ballet performances, as well as creating choreography for music videos and advertisements.
Miss Sophia is DBS checked.

MS ROBINSON - Front Desk

Ms. Robinson is the proud mother of Miss Kay and Miss Alena. She is the friendly and welcoming face you’ll see each Saturday.

As the front desk coordinator, Ms. Robinson ensures all children are marked in and out, prioritizing their safety and providing a warm start to every Saturday.
Ms Robinson is DBS Checked and holds a Chaperones Licence.

MS DONNA - Admin Manager

Ms. Donna brings a wealth of experience, having worked as a PA for numerous companies throughout her career. Now retired, she dedicates her time to supporting ZDA with administrative tasks, driven by her passion for the performing arts.

All administration, including uniform orders, is managed by Ms. Donna. She is the friendly and efficient person behind the prompt replies to your emails, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
